+The role

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting business leaders in their strategic financial planning.

The successful candidate will be a business partner for departments across the organisation, therefore, they must be dynamic, approachable and analytical.

Overall, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is either currently part qualified or newly qualified and looking to gain exposure across all areas of the business.

+What will I be delivering?h

The role of the Management Accountant combines accounting and business management skills; therefore, your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

·        Prepare periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows forecasting, variance analysis and commentaries

·        Provide an advisory support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions and accounts in context

·        Partner with different teams to ensure spending is kept in line with their budgets

·        Inform key strategic decisions and advise on the financial implications of business decisions

·        Analyse financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning and forecasts

·        Management of credit control

·        Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed.

+What do I need to bring with me?

Demonstrated knowledge and experience

·        Commercial awareness, with an interest in business and an understanding of how an organisation works and manages resources

·        Previous experience of using Business Central (desirable)

·        Experience of project accounting (desirable)

Technical skills and qualifications

·        Part qualified or newly qualified with a professional accountancy qualification, preferably CIMA

·        High level of numeracy

·        Excellent excel skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Behavioural competencies

·        Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels including non-finance employees

  • A lively and enquiring mind with a logical approach to work, combined with analytical and problem-solving skills
