About Concurrent
We deliver mission-critical embedded computing solutions to operate in even the harshest of environments. Founded in 1985 to develop Multibus II boards, we’ve expanded our offering over four decades to become a trusted, reliable solutions provider in critical embedded applications.
We have a proven record of delivering technology to the world’s leading OEMs across industries including defence, telecoms, and aerospace. We operate facilities in Colchester and Theale in the United Kingdom and Woburn, MA and Los Angeles, CA in the United States.
Concurrent is a public company, quoted on AIM on the London Stock Exchange.
The Role
Reporting to the CAD Team Lead, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing engineering team designing complex multi-layer SMT and PTH PCBs. The PCBs are typically 16 to 22 layers with high-speed signals and high component densities, including BGAs.
This role is ideal for a self-motivated person keen to get stuck in with part creation and library maintenance, the generation of PCB assembly documentation and data, and collaborating with our Operations teams to ensure the products are designed for manufacture.
What will I be delivering?
The key duties and responsibilities include:
Laying out PCBs of varying technology to rules supplied by the Design Engineer using High Speed design practices with impedance control.
A fully connected and checked PCB ready for PCB fabrication.
Output manufacturing data for PCB fabrication and Assembly.
Ensuring all processes are completed as per ISO9001-2015.
Creating stack-ups and calculation impedances.
Maintenance and support of existing PCB designs
