The Role

We are seeking a Production Operator who has experience with working with electronic assemblies (circuit boards) to join our experienced production team.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager the role will involve hand soldering of Through Hole Components (PTH) into circuit boards, final inspection of sub-assembled circuit boards, and correcting any issues found.

This role will be based at our Colchester site on a full-time basis working 37.5 hours, Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, and Friday 8am to 12:30pm.

  • Manufacturing and assembly of Single Board Computers (SBCs) to the operations schedule

What do I need to bring with me?

Demonstrated knowledge and experience

  • Have excellent hand soldering skills (a practical test will be required at interview).

  • Have experience with inspecting electronic assemblies (circuit boards).

  • Be able to understand assembly drawing packages.

  • Be competent in reading component markings (orientations etc.).

  • Be quality conscious with attention to detail.

  • An understanding of IPC standards not essential but would be beneficial.

Technical skills and qualifications

  • IPC 610 trained desirable.
