Detail

Vulcan is an easy-to-use solution for customers starting VPX™ projects.  Rather than having a backplane which has predetermined traces and dedicated slots for CPU/FPGA/GPGPU payloads, switches and timing cards, the backplane connectivity on Vulcan is user definable using Meritec cables.  These Meritec cables are capable of supporting high bandwidth signals like Gen 4 PCIe and 100Gigabit Ethernet Gen 4 Support.

By default, Vulcan supports four conduction-cooled and four air-cooled Plug In Cards (PICs).
