+ The Role

Reporting to the Test Lead, working alongside the production team, the role will be responsible for the testing the organisations microprocessor based embedded computer products.

+ What will I be delivering?

• Configure and prepare the products for thermal testing.

• Testing on the bench of the I/O in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

• Other duties may include, but not exclusively, light mechanical assembly, and customer returns failure investigation.

+ Desired and essential knowledge and experience

• Experience working in a test environment – desired.

• Competent use of common test equipment – DMMs, oscilloscopes – desired.

• Competent user of Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel – essential

• Use of PC’s and their operating systems – essential

• Experience in fault finding to component level – desired.

• Installation of software both at board and computer level – desired.

• Familiarity with working in an ISO 9001 accredited company – desired.

+ Technical qualifications required

• BTEC/NVQ Electronics (or equivalent experience)

+ Behavioural competencies

• To have good inter-personal skills to work in a team environment and use own initiative to organise and prioritise their own work.
