Resilient processing and assured timing for contested environments

Boxer EW

Modern Electronic Warfare (EW) operations depend on capturing, digitising, and countering agile RF threats while maintaining absolute phase synchronisation across multiple software-defined radio (SDR) channels—even when satellite navigation signals are degraded, jammed, or spoofed.

Concurrent designs and manufactures rugged, open-standards 3U VPX systems combining RF and digital payload support, Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (A-PNT), and secure edge compute. Built to the SOSA® Technical Standard, our box-level architectures deliver proven SWaP-C advantages, backed by our US- and UK-based engineering, manufacturing, and lifecycle support teams.

Built for operations in contested environments

EW success relies on resilient processing, microsecond-accurate timing, and the ability to coordinate complex RF and SDR payloads in hostile electromagnetic battlespaces.

Our rugged systems and architectures enable:

  • High-throughput RF and digital payload processing for Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), electronic support, and electronic attack

  • Precise synchronisation across multiple SDR channels to maintain coherent beamforming and direction finding

  • Assured PNT in degraded and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)-denied environments using onboard multi-constellation anti-jam technology

  • Extended timing holdover to bridge prolonged satellite signal blackouts without phase drift

  • Secure edge processing featuring hardware root of trust and post-quantum cryptography

  • SWaP-C optimised deployment engineered for size- and weight-sensitive pods, masts, and tactical vehicles

A rugged architecture for Electronic Warfare

Configured with PR A11 and Hermes II, Huey provides a compact 3U VPX architecture combining wideband RF/digital payload support, trusted timing, and secure high-performance computing in a single chassis.

The PR A11 board provides assured positioning, navigation, and timing to connected SDRs, combining multi-constellation anti-jam and anti-spoof protection with high-stability local timing sources to guarantee holdover accuracy when GNSS is lost. Hermes II adds Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processing power to handle intensive signal classification algorithms, with an integrated Secure Enclave providing post-quantum encryption to protect sensitive threat libraries and EW techniques at the tactical edge.

Together, Huey, PR A11, and Hermes II offer defence programmes a pre-validated, SWaP-C optimised EW computing engine that delivers synchronised SDR performance and trusted timing in contested spectrum conditions.
