IRIS, a 3U VPX Plug-In Card, is the next generation of high-speed, low-Size, Weight, and Power (SWAP) Layer2/3+ switch, aligned with the CMOSS, SOSA™ and OpenVPX Technical Standards. Designed and developed to provide secure, high bandwidth switch connections between additional payload elements, IRIS is ideally suited for force protection, situational awareness, command and control, and mission computing applications. IRIS supports physically separate Data Plane and Control Plane switching capabilities and supports the slot profile SLT3-SWH-5F4UG7U-14.4.14. With 100 Gbps data rates supported on the Data Plane, IRIS is an ideal fit for next-generation Cyber / EW / SIGINT / Comms applications for use on Air, Land and Sea platforms.
