VPXTool enables a user to check and reprogram the configuration of the PCI Express® switch device(s) on Concurrent Technologies' VPX processor boards, 3U VPX XMC carrier (TR XMC/m11), VPX RTMs (AD VR3/x4x and AD TR1/x09) and processor XMC module (XP B5x/msd). It does this by reprograming the PCI Express switch EEPROM devices and is available as a UEFI shell utility that can be run in interactive mode or to take the parameters from a predefined configuration file. Typical operations include setting up Non-Transparent ports, setting lane widths and speeds for data and expansion plane links and configuring payload sizes. Special options for clocking and link throttling are provided.
