Remembering Glen Fawcett

Glen Fawcett

With deep regret, we announce that Glen Fawcett died unexpectedly on May 7th.  Whilst he had been receiving medical treatment, he had visited the office several times to keep in touch and was adamant that he wanted to be present at our Annual General Meeting on May 21st.

Glen was one of the company’s first employees, joining in October 1985 as Technical Director.  He was actively involved in some of the early hardware designs and then became Managing Director in 1987.  He was the public face of the company, regularly appearing at shareholder and partner events as well as tradeshows like Embedded Tech Trends, DSEi and Embedded World. Glen never forgot his Lancashire roots and was a down to earth people person.  He made a point of talking to everyone and excelled at coming up with amusing anecdotes and interesting facts.  He had many favourite topics including Burnley Football Club, local knowledge, famous people, inventions, science and technology and especially embedded computer products.  Glen was extremely dedicated, had an amazing eye for detail and was a charismatic and energetic leader. Everyone at Concurrent Technologies extends their deepest condolences and sympathies to Glen's family at this difficult time. Glen’s funeral will be at Colchester Crematorium on 10th June from 11:45 to 12:45.  Instead of flowers, his family have set up a charity fund in Glen's memory at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/glen-a-fawcett
